2001 CIVIC- Cluster lights not working!

Hey everybody

The lights on my cluster are not working and I googled and found this website and joined. I don't know what the problem is and NEED HELP....so please help lol. ALSO, when I bought the car the power locks have not worked! If anyone knows what the problems is please fill me in!

Possibly a blown illuminaton fuse. Are they the only lights not working or are all the parking lights not working....dash, parking and liscense plate lights? Those are all on the same fuse. Does it have an aftermarket radio? If so the illumination wire may be touching metal behind the radio causing it to blow the illumination fuse.

i was thinking the same as him. possible fuse blown either replace it or set a higher amp fuse in there, i had to do this because i had a system. but if thats not the case then you could have a short in one of your wires.

You realy wouldn't want to put a higher amp fuse in there. If it blew then it was for a reason. Those circuits are really only designed for the fuse ratings that are already in there. If you up the fuse and the short is still there then you risk serious damage to the factory wiring as far as melting. DO NOT DO!!! Find the problem, fix it then replace with correct fuse.

Thank you so much for the replies........the parking lights and plate lights are fine..... the cluster just does not work when I turn the lights on at night but the lights are working...I did however put an aftermarket radio in......is it the white wire that I should check? I dont think its the fuse either because I checked them all...even went to Honda dealership to replace thelight switch and harness for all the wires...still didnt work :/

If you are asking about the wire behind the radio then it would be orange or orange with white stripe on an aftermarket plug adapter and the factory wire color on the car side I beleive is red with black stripe.
