2001 civic sedan Light change to LED

ok, hey all, i'm trying to change out my gauge lights and and climate control lights of my car to blue LED's however, i'm a little confused as to which LED's to purchase as they come in different sizes eg. (3mm, 4mm, 5mm).. can anyone tell me what size LED's will fit where? i took some pics to kinda give an idea of what i'm looking at..

its not the size of the led that matters, its the base, just make sure its a similar base a wide angle led and you will be fine. also, i once saw a diy on putting in a led light bar in the climate control, it looked pretty good afterwards.

it would be pretty similar for your car, thats what im going to do for my climate control, cuz i keep getting "hot spots" from single leds. you can do that for your dash cluster too, just a little more moding. anyway..hope that helps.

also, the shift indicator bulbs don't look that much better in led, at least i thought so, but you can do it if you want.

You'd need bulbs specifically designed for that connection, and more than likely no.

lol... i been searching trust me but i could'nt find anything about the specific sizes (newbie) lol... thanks for the help tho, i'm thinking i might just use some glass paint on the existing filament bulbs, has anyone tried that and gotten good results for the gauge lights?

i got some cobalt blue glass paint today and a small paint brush, gonna try painting the bulb and see how it turns out before i go the LED option, i'll post pics of it after for y'all to see

Only the left side has in the blue bulbs so you can get an idea of how it looks, not very bright though

Paint is going to fade VERY quickly because of the heat. Only thing that will last long is going to be a complete bulb color change, l.e.d. being the longest lasting. Personally, I think the blue is going to be terrible both in looks and visibility. I changed mine out to white l.e.d. and it turned out great in my opinion.

well it was meant to be a temporary change for now, will eventually get the LED's... painted the other set of bulbs now so its fully blue
