Hey guys,

I do car audio for a living so this may seem a bit silly but i'm just curious what others have found. What i'm wondering is how the door / rear speakers fitment is for a 2005 Civic Si Sedan? If my memory serves me right the doors don't really allow for a deep speaker... The only reason i ask this is i have an install im doing for a friend this weekend and i wanna no what i need since i wont be at the shop at work with everything available... gotta get everything and have it with me to take.

We are putting in Alpine SPR-17C Speakers all the way around. they are about 2 1/2" mounting depth according to the alpine site. To top it off were doin a PDX-F4 Amp on the speakers, The MRP-M500 Amp on the SWR-1242D Woofer all controlled off of the IDA-X305 Head Unit. Should be a nice clean sounding setup.

If anyone can give me a heads up on the speakers that would be great. I just have a feeling im either going to have to router out the speakers "caging" we'll call it to get the magnet to fit in OR use a spacer (and am not sure how big of a spacer will work without buldging the door panel. Metra calls for a 3.5 mounting depth so i should be good... dunno just hoping to cover myself here =)

Any help would be great!

Thanks
