i have myself a re-built 50k mile gsr..its been bored to 2.0 compression is 9.8:1..eagle crankshaft, rods, weisco pistons etc...ACL bearings and all the basic bolt on parts like cams, cai, IM, msd ignition, p28 tuned on spoon program...my question is this..the block is NOT SLEEVED! i plan to turbo this car within this year or next year..my goal is to hit anywhere from 250-300 whp..if i went ahead and TC my car without sleeves will my block be able to handle it? and im not someone who is going to be flooring it every week..this is a car the i hope will last me a while until i move onto another project car

yes it is..and im asking this question because i have been doing a lot of research about what kinds of set-ups to do and how to make it safe...and i hear that sometimes the pistons can move from side to side or walking and in order to kind of help prevent that you bring your block to a place that does do sleeves and put their machines to work..i also read that over time the sleeves can sink..and then other stuff about blockgaurds..and omg i was just overwhelmed..

do you think that if i PnP my block i would be safe to run a TC and hit close to 300 whp?

i wouldnt put the motor on that big of a risk. I would rip about the motor and take the block in to get sleeved then you can run as much boost at you want!!!!!!

youre basically boosting a b20 now, which are known for weak sleeves. personally, i wouldnt do it. 250hp at the crank tops imo, and that's with a really good tune
