250 V-TWIN bobber

i been thinking of getting this 250 kit bike to tool around town and to work and back the price is rite and i get to assemble it myself but im going to have to get use to the foot clutch jockey shift. http://www.kikker5150.com/hardknock.html some videos of it

You could just buy a used real motorcycle for that much.

Ehhh....if you are sure that you have what it takes to assemble it, then yea go for it. But for something like a motorcycle......I wouldnt want to risk it falling apart while riding it because it was not built by a professional.

bike wrecks no matter what happens... are no fun.

+ those chinese engines have to be gone through to make sure no shavings or s**t is left in them and you have to tighten all the bolts too.

yeah i can assemble it with a buddy of mine that fixes motorcycles. as for bolts becoming loose loctite is your friend.

yeah kind of like a civic i could have bought a used real sportscar instead of the honda.its fast enough the bike weighs less then 300 pounds and i just want to tool around i don't need a fast rice rocket.

yeah was just letting you know the quality control on those china engines is very shotty. I like the way that 250 looks as well brotha! just cruising around on any bike is nice now...

yeah i hear you about the chinese engine its a LIFAN motor i believe but i have scoured the interwebs and the kikker forums about it and haven't found any major problems with the bike they have mentioned getting stronger bolts for certain areas of the bike just to be safe like the brake calipers and using loctite on everything other then that if put together properly nothing bad. and i don't plan on taking this thing cross country just around town. if it comes down to a major motor problem my friend has a a couple honda engines that will fit it with some minor mods.

yeah im tempted to use this a platform to build off of... put an RC51 motor into a bobber is an ultimate goal of mine haha.
