3inch on greddy

im slapping together my turbo really soon. right now i have a greddy evo. i really like the rear section, i was just wondering if i can use stainless mandrel bent tubing instead of the tubing on now.

my second question: do i need 3inch exhaust for running a turbo?

i think the greddy evo comes with 2.5. im gunna be running 275-345whp.

2.5 should be fine. if you hop on the dyno and it seems restrictive, then change it.

how would i put the 3inch dp onto the 2.5 inch exhaust piping? open up or close down one side? doesn't that seem like it would be restrictive?

why dont you use a 2.5 inch downpipe? even with a 3" dp its still going to flow like its a 2.5"

Just use a 2.5" dp. I actually have one, but it won't work for your app!

if you wanted to you can put a 3" to 2.5" transition but thatd be pretty dumb. i run a 2.5" to 3"... an electonic cut out might be something youd want to look into
