alright so im looking to buy an intake and i cant decide on whether or not to go CAI or short ram. now i know that CAI is a risk in the winter if u dont have a bypass valve b.c water doesnt cooperate well with the engine and all. does a CAI provide more horsepower to make it worth that risk? or is the short ram a better option? ive heard the short rams also sound better.

my other question is that im looking to have new piping ran for a muffler instead of buying a full catback exhaust. i dont have that kind of cash right now or else i would... what diameter should i go with on my piping and should i remove my cat or resonater? thanks for your time people

IMO the short ram is a better choice, the cai won't give you enough power to make it worth the risk. You shouldnt remove your cat or resonator, a high flow cat is cheap on ebay and if you remove your resonator you'll probably get a nasty droning sound at certain rpm's

get an Iceman or J's Racing Intake... they have the best results.

Other than that... id just say f**k it and get a short ram because CAI's dont have power up top.
