honestly i would jump up to the .63 exhaust housing. at 8k, that .48 is going to be HOT and nowhere near as efficient

too small.

and how do you know how much psi you can run if you dont even know what turbo you are running? that makes no sense.

Well, the .48/.60AR isn't "too small".. It will just spin too fast at the RPMs the motor will spin.

Using that turbo, I made 345hp @ 24psi on my 2.3L 8v Merkur, but it redlined at 6500... And it wasn't efficient at those pressures, I know that. It's "sweet spot" is around 15-18psi..

On a torqueless honda, that turbo will spool quick, due to the .48AR, much earlier than the .63 will.. but on the top end, it'll suffer. (trying not to get technical.. :P )

edit
If you are staying on 15psi, it'll be fine, actually, since the wastegate will keep it from overspooling..

Personally, with my .63AR T3/T04E Turbonetics on my B18C, I don't get boost until about 4500-5000, which in my opinion, is waste.. I'd prefer it hit positive pressure around 35-3800rpm..

well, runnin a 63/60 57 now. get boost around 5k. had a 48/42 b4 and it was pretty fun to drive, but it was just too small. hopefully the bigger comp will flow enough to keep some top end. someone needs to make a turbo between 48 and 63.

just used 15 as a number cuz thats how much im runnin now. of course i'll get it retuned if i decide to go w/ the smaller turbo.
