You can always do like a Tiburon owner did for the Ultimate Street car challenge and drop a front end in your trunk with two engines. That was sweet. Shift linkage hooked up to both and that car had AWD because it had two of everything, except shift knobs, only one of those. I don't know if it would be worth it, because if you add Vtec to the mix, everything has to be timed the same. TOO MUCH WORK. That CRV thing is an excellent idea, or you can always try the rear chassis out of one of the AWD Civics from the mid-late '80's. The wagon. Shorten the drivelive a little if its a hatch and away you go!

the only awd civics that came from the factory was in the early to mid eighties...they had sohc non vtec engines, 1.5 litres im pretty sure. it only did at most 10% to the rear wheels.... and the crv only does about....i think 20% at most, so i dont see the justification of spending a s**t load of money for it. plus there is ALOT of custom work. you gotta make room for a rear drive shaft, rear diff, new beefier rear axles, custom bent exhaust, newly located cat and all that s**t...so therefore making a full custom exhaust manifold. atleast those are the things im pretty sure youll need in order to do this. and blue hatch, post pics and s**t.....not callin you a liar but your statement is worthless without pics.

i would have to change the whole rear if i bought one of the 80's
civics and combined them right i mean would suspension mods also have to be made to clear a the rotating parts and with the extra rotating mass what should i do to compensate for it

It is AWD not 4WD... 4WD is four wheel drive and includes a transfer case (means you can switch between 2wd or 4wd... most have low and high range 4wd) What you are talking about is AWD... All wheel drive which means all wheels are powered all the time, you cant switch it to 2wd.

that guy blakes teggy is 4wd, he can switch all the power to the rear wheels...he was thinkin about turbo'ing it and entering the local drift comp's...that would raise some eyebrows...and before anyone calls b.s., save your breath...the man owns his own shop, has plenty of sponsors, and plenty of money to get it done
