Alright I'm not a novice installer but I've never seen this problem before. I'm trying to put in my 529T that I had in my old car into my 2000 civic but its doing something I've never seen before. And of course I lost the directions to install it so I'm going off of the diagram on the back.
I located the wires after the relay for the sunroof and installed the 529T directly to that. Moonroof opens great, but closing it is a problem. When I arm the alarm and the moonroof closes it will slide all the way forward and then into the vent position. Even with the moonroof closed, once the system is armed the moonroof will move into the vent position.
I know why it does it because the 529T senses the resistance along the line and that's how it knows when to stop working. Its doing that because I directly connected to the motor and relay pack. Now I checked the switched directly and that does something totally different. I thought about tapping there but I'm unsure of any problems since its not direcrly to the motor. Any ideas anyone???
