if a 99 civic has been sitting for about 6 months and it will not start back up, what the common areas that have to be looked at to fix, so it will start up again?

Does it have compression?

Fuel spark compression. It needs all three to run...

as far as i no, is the car was running and when they parked it, it sat for 6 months and now it will not start

When you say won't start back up what do you mean, won't turn over at all or it turn over just won't fire up?
