I have a 97 coupe and it has no center arm rest. would the arm rest from a 4 door go on without modification to the rest of the center console? or would i need to get a new center console so that i can accommodate the arm rest?

you might need to swap a bracket, but otherwise i think they swap right in.

body style has no effect on the armrest, they are all the same. Like cobb said, you may need the bracket that goes with the armrest console, not sure though.

the front half of the console is the same between armrest and no arm rest. so just get the new rear and the bracket and you should be good

yup it fits, i have one in my coupe.

The bracket is bolted down on the car body, underneath the e-brake lines.
then you screw the sides of the armrest to the bracket

no problem. If you cant find it, the armrest still connects in the front and it works okay, just every now and then youll lift it up in the back on accident and its just annoying
