Anyone out there have a 6th gen civic running GC sleeve coils on tokico blues? im wondering how they ride. Currently riding on GC sleeve coils w/ stock shocks and looking for new shocks. trying to decide between the kyb agx's and tokico blues. Want to hear a rating on the tokico blues. Help please.

i like the gc's, the only thing is that one of my shocks blew so the ride isnt that great right now. i'd recommend em Genuinte Rolla. I wouldnt recommend running them on stock shocks though. definately upgrade the shocks for GCs.

the one thing im worried about with the tokico blues is that they are valved exactly like OEM. From my understanding oem shocks aren't designed for lower'd cars therefore would that mean the tokico's would blow just as easy? what springs or coils are you running with your tokico blues bcivichb?

I have the illuminas. I blew one on a set of tokico springs and the shocks don't drop far enough so you won't get the drop that you are looking for. But then again you are putting on coils so you might get it lower. I am suppose to get my coil overs here soon. If you aren't doing this soon I will let you know how the illuminas work with it. So far I am not to happen with them.

hmm yeah, thats what i was worried about. i want a good ride, but im sorta on a tight budget. im probably going to go w/ the tokico blues just cuz they are budget, and after reading i think they handle decent enough with lowered cars. Any recommendations on where to buy shocks? was thinking about modacar.com but they are expensive, even if you go there to pick them up its expensive. any other cheap sites online?

Could Tokico HP blue handle drop like 2.5?
I was about to get agx shock but a person on here said they can't handle drop car that good.

really? i've heard a lot of good things about the agx's, the only thing i dont like is the price. Personally i'm not really into auto x or anthing just daily driving so i think tokico blues will be good enough for me. i dont really wanna spend nearly 4 bills on shocks. i'm wondering the same thing, im sorta worried about tokico blues handling the drop, because i dont want to buy them if i cant slam my car.

yea, more than likely. a lot of my friends are running their cars slammed with tokico illumina's and the ride is pritty good. How much are estimating to spend for the shocks, and where do you plan to buy them? i think im definately leaning again toward adjustible shocks, either kyb agx's or tokico illumina's, depending which i could find the better deal on.

i had agx's w/ coils on my first civ... ride way too harsh for me. i swapped out the coils for h & r springs... ride got a little better. that car got stolen and stripped so... my current civ i went thru tokico blues w/ tokico springs. ride was ideal but not enuff drop. i swapped out the tokico springs for intraxx. those sucked ass... way too low spring rate. ride was like a boat. now im happy sittin on tokico blues w/ eibachs. this setup is also backed up w/ gsr sways.

Well the shocks are set for a 1.75 but I am riding on them with Tokico springs and I blew one in like 3 months. They don't sit low enough. I would reconsider the Tokico Illuminia's. Your Spring choice is good just look for a different shock.

any more advice? i've heard good things about both agx's and illumina's. most friends are riding with illumina's, but you're the first person that ive seen that doesnt like illumina's. any recommendations other than illumina's within that price range?
