I'm getting mine installed this Friday, need to know if there any con's besides it revving too fast, or losing lowend torque, I'm also getting a stage 3 clutch from clutch master's someone lemme know thanks

i don't have one but i think unless you have alot of hp (which i sure as hell don't) then i wouldn't have gotten it. i would have gone with 12 lb i think. i'm not sure what it could do tho.

I have an Aasco Motorsports 8lb. aluminum flywheel, s**t revs quick as f**k --- bad ass, good buy! I also have a 6-puck clutchmasters clutch. And make sure the flywheel you get has a replacable face, cus with a stage 3 you might eat up the flywheel pretty quick, if you ride the clutch.

it's fine. if a flywheel is too light and you is heavily built then your flywheel can break... i've seen it happen a couple times when i was runnin with dsm's... but NEVER on a civic.

i hope you don't plan on turboing in the future because if so from what i've heard 8lbs flywheel is way too light for a turbo charged engine the engine cannot handle that

ok i got the flywheel and clutch installed, the clutch feels a lil' grabby and engages pretty hard but the pedal feel is soft almost like stock, not only that but when i rev it it doesn't rev as fast as i thought, it's lil faster than b4 but i really notice the rpm's shoot up after like 4000rpm, is this normal, also when i take off from 1st gear it's just like stock, is this normal?

I have a 7.5lb fidanza flywheel with an ACT heavy duty clutch, and I noticed a huge difference over stock. Sure you'll notice it more after 4k rpm, where the power starts to come on in a honda.

I dunno maybe it's just me but I remember driving with the stock flywheel the motor would lag a lil' when trying to reach high rpm. Now that i have it back with a " 8lb flywheel" it still feels the same, at around 3rpm though it picks up a lil' more. a couple of nights ago i was keeping up with a gsr something i was never able to do before. so maybe it's just me be paranoid, i'll get it check out, hopefully i didn't get ripped off

Its bad if you have alot of power like a fully built N/A or any boosted car your flywheel is going ot brake, and you aslo have a cam gear for no cam i dont think you get any power out of that. But i HAVE seen them crack from to much power on a HONDA. For those who think DMS's are far superior to hondas.

The flywheel is not going to break. You're gonna have to be making some serious horsepower for that to happen. Weight alone has nothing to do with how strong a flywheel is. Cromoly flywheels are VERY strong.
