I recently had a problem with what I thought was the key switch, so I went to my local junkyard and got a whole steering column. It didn't fix the problem. I recently found out it was the ignition switch that went bad. Got another ignition switch and am keeping the junkyard column because it fixed my broke dimmer switch. So, my problem now is, I am in the process of changing out the key switches or tumblers.(the part that the key goes in) I have successfully removed the old one, and I can't get the original key switch back in. It looks like it should just pop back in, but it won't. What is the secret to getting it back in?
