Whats up fellas, well recently my 91 civic had a dead cylinder and the valves were very noisy.. I couldnt stand it and also needed to find out why i head one cylinder not working. Well i took off the head and found the valves to be shot which of was no suprise because i had been having burning oil for so long and other problems.
So I took off the head took out all the valves, valve seals. In process of cleaning up the head gasket surface on the head and the block. Ordered a new gasket set with studs and all and also ordered new valves.. So hopefully ill have this baby back on the road soon..
But my question is ok after i took off the head and slipped the timing belt off the camshaft pulley i was planning to just slip it back on because i marked it in several spots just to play it hella safe but my dumbass wasnt thinking to well and pushed the car out of my garage and the timing belt moved and deff not sure if jumped or tooth or not but im not even gonna risk that.. So For mechanal timing i understand i just have to line up marks on the crank shaft and the water pump? If anyone can shed some light that would be great im downloading alldata right now which will help alot but having some perspective from a person would be great too. After i line up all the marks do i just slide on the timing belt? Thanks for the time if anyone decides to help
