91 Cx heater control assembly in a 91 crx si

Hey,
Wanted to know if i could replace my friend's broken heater control assembly in his crx si with one off of a 91 cx.

I thought the CRX Si ones were push button and the hatches, etc. were all lever controlled. I'm no 4th Gen expert though. I thought I read that you can basically replace the CRX one with a JDM push button one ... you'll have to do some research though to make sure. Might be less hassle than retooling a button one to operate with levers.

turns out, they are not compatible, too much messing around to make it work.
