I've been fooling with a 91 dx sedan and not getting any fire. everything seems to point to the ignition control module. I can't get it out. i've got the cap off, rotor off, coil out, do i have to take the whole distributor out to get it out or what? i'm pretty sure in my 95 it comes out without taking the distributor out...but not 100% positive.

Removing a couple of screws should do it:

i went ahead and pulled it out and took it out. tested good on the machine, so back to square 1 on finding the spark...

Answering these question will help to pinpoint the problem:

1) Do you hear the low humming/buzzing noise of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds in the rear when the key is turned to ON(II)?

2) Any CEL codes?

3) Does the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil have battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

4) Did you resistance test the coil?
