91 hatch. Turbo? B16?

I have a 91 hatch d series motor. I don't have plans for the car other than making some more hp. Should I build up the motor I have? Swap it and or boost it? I need ideas and what's plausible and the most sensible build. I've never owned anything boosted before.

Do the mpfi conversion yourself, out I'd simple. Secondly swap it, when you do buy name brand mounts, Imade that mistake along time ago. I believe in the b16 in the 88-91, that is just me. I have built 10 of that gen of honda I am willing to give advise anytime needed.

Thank you! I was planing on doing this all myself. This thread is mostly to get some ideas on which way to go. The mpfi swap is cake. As for the engine swap, the only requirement I lack is the tools :D

I vaguely remember an aquaintances b16 4speed getting to 60-80 in 2nd gear. I don't remember the exact number. I thought it was damn quick for a Honda.
But I still kinda want a turbo. Can you turbo b16s? Or would I want to boost a different enginge.
Turbo + VTEC ? does that work?

Daang 10 EFs?! Do you have pictures of all these (I'm assuming) beauties?

you can turbo the b16 with no problems, depending on how much power you want to make determines your setup. tuning is key to the whole nine yards. no matter what anyone else says.

there is no reason you couldnt boost the b16, boost and vtec are fine together the heart of any turbo build is the tune so long as the setup is done right and its got a good tune youll be fine.

Can I turbo my d15 block with a vtec head? I bought a head for the mini me the other day. And a jdm d16z6 intake manifold. I know I'd have to build it for the setup so what do I need as far as internals?

Only problem w having vtec and a turbo is u need a really good tune so u don't blow ur motor cuz when u get the extra fuel from vtec kicking in then on top of that u have the extra fuel from ur turbo spooling its easy to blow ur motor without a really good tune..hear of ppl blowin them all the time w z6 heads and boosted
