92-95 civic coupe antenna problems?

hey i have a 94 civic coupe DX and well i have a problem with antenna cuz when i turn the radio on it is mostly static in sum spots.. well anyway i wanted to kno if anybody else has had a similar problem.. i guessin its cuz water can find its way down where the wire is and messes it up

I have No idea....Allthough on My car i shaved the Antenna and went to Good Guys and picked up a new antena that just runs along the frame where the old one was... Maybe try a new antenna.

the stock antenna seems to pretty much suck... I'm going to try a replacement one too.

its the antenna, i talked to high end audio places and they cant even do anything to help mine, just get a good headunit

all antennas suck on the 5ht gens, i barley get reception on my hatch either

i say shave the thing and get one that hidden, it probably work better even

what's involved in shaving the antenna? Do you mean you just yank the antenna & it's little base piece, or is there body work involved?
