The engine bay looks like poo. But it's nothing a little TLC won't fix. Good deal on the car though.

yeah haha well around here (PEI, Canada) all winter the roads are covered in salt (as well as everything else haha) and i live right by water, so most vehicles end up covered in rust and other road crud in a short time, ive seen some cars made in 2000 or newer that i would say are unfit for the road with the amount of rotting thats happened to the body, so finding a 92 even in this shape is pretty good haha.

as for the engine bay, its all stock, and i doubt anybodys ever done anything under there other than regular maintenance, and the swap. i guess its about time she got some lovin =)

couple new pictures too,,
today i ripped off the drivers side fender, started sanding (both sides)
bit of bodyfill
and let the bodywork begin!

and sorry for the dark picture here, started raining so i had to continue the work down in the dark basement haha

i think im going to just finish the bodywork on the fender, and prime the whole thing, and put it back on the car,
keep doing this till the rust is 'dead and gone'
and then take her to the paint shop =)

Didnt se anyone answer the question yet, but i may be wrong, but i dont think your redline should be that high...i mean my del sol, with the d15b7, which looks alot like what you have redlines at 6.8k or so

mm i know, i mean.. the guages fit in there perfect ive had the dash apart,, i dont think there out of any other car or anything?

and yes mine is the d15b7..
but.. i dont know what was in it before they swapped it in there?
yet, a stock lx,, does have a d15b7..
so either way.. i dont get why its way the hell up there

ive never gotten to drive it though, so maybe the rev limiter will kick in way before that? i guess ill have to find out... itll be on the road in a couple weeks hopefullyy...

okay guys, couple more progress pics,, still lots left to do though, i guess as is true with any project car haha. let me know what you think so far (keep in mind it all has to be painted in the end)

fresh wrinkle paint
-shaved the lettering, just left the honda symbol which has to be sanded off

driver side, still not done though, its kinda rough
(just need to get through inspection right now)

fender, had a small hole above the bumper mount (which will be replaced with hand made ones after inspecion)

let me know what you guys think so far,
again keep in mind its a work in progress haha
