92 si hatch

im buying a 92 si hatch this weekend, and i was wondering if you guys could give me some things to look for that would be bad on the car, tehre is no rust, and it has 240,000 Km's

That's kinda high mileage, but it is a honda. Take it to your mechanic first so he can inspect it for you.

no rust?? are you sure about that?? honda's are notorious for rear fender rust.

K's are kidna high yes, but ive see nalot higher for almost more $$$

make sure and look at the underbody for rust too

well I'd buy it, just because Si hatch's are pretty rare when it comes to 5th gens... and that kind of milage is nothing for a honda.

buy it and swap the motor as long as the body is good and the motor runs till you do a swap buy it up

Ok and tell me why you would pay more for a civic si, if your just gonna swap the motor out. my advice, buy a cx, swap a b series into and thro on a tacometer. whamo theres ur civic si just a hella lot faster and not that much more money.

why i want an si...because i want the power optiosn, adn the moonroof, and 4 wheeldisks..etc etc

man wit a car wit that much mileage, ill only pay 1500-2000 american big bucks for it

If you can take it out for a test drive, listen for odd noises (i.e. knocking, rattling, clanking ... any noise an engine shouldn't make). Look at your interior and check the engine, see how well it was maintained. If the motor looks like crap, see if you can get the body for dirt cheap then just use the extra money that you were willing to spend and get a new motor ...
