'93 cx fuel pump will not prime faithfully.

The fuel pump doesn't seem to be getting any power. I can jump the #5 and 7 terminals at the main relay plug and get the pump to run. It seems to fail to prime after the car has sat for a day or is really hot inside. I've bought a new main relay, but I haven't installed it yet, because I'm waiting for the problem to arise again. I really hope it isn't the ecu. Any suggestions?

Bad main relay solder points. Very common.

thanks. that's a load off my mind. so I could if I wanted just resolder it and save it as a spare?
