ok, so, i wanna get a head unit for my car, something affordable, and reliable, someone stole the last one out, and now that im working again i wanna replace it. possibly the speakers as well. (they are still in the car, but im not sure if they work any more, they are old) anyone have any suggestions?

if you're going to do a full out audio system, I wouldn't suggest Pioneer. Both Pioneer decks I've owned have had the infamous Pioneer ground problem. There is a fix to that but, its just an unneeded headache. Although if you get lucky and you dont get one with bad grounds, they make pretty nice head units.

we need more info on your budget and what not to give you better advice.

But if its between the 2 you listed... I'd be all over that alpine (even though alpine has been a bit overrated as of late imo) But hey that older model alpine for $60 you def cant go wrong.

alpine, for your replacement speakers, i have alpines in the front door that came with the car, w/ factory tweeters, and some cheap 6.5's in the back and mine sound fine.

if you can find it i would get a JVC headunit, you can find them on craigslist all over the place. especially here in texas. JVC have the widest range of accesory's for their headunits, as well as great customer service, every one of my friends have had JVC, one of my buddys has one thats around 7 years old, and still pushes on.
