94 civic wont start help please

Hey everyone im a nooby here and to cars period
hoping someone can help
i have a 94 civic coupe have had it for a month now
been working fine until this morning. i tried turning it on and it wont start
even when i turn my key all the way it wont make the clicking noise
any ideas what it could be???

*ps- it isnt the battery cuz my radio works

Just because you're radio works doesn't mean the battery has enough juice to crank. Regardless, try tapping the starter with a hammer

It could also be the main relay... turn the key into the ON ( ii) position to see if the fuel pump kicks in... or if you hear the click sound... But X2 on the battery! I work in automotive and you would be suprised the people that have this issue!

I agree but wouldn't the radio not work either since the main relay is between the fuse panel and the battery? Your alternator could have went out. Your battery might still have enough to turn the radio on. Try jumping it off if it starts that eliminates the main relay. When it's running disconnect your positive battery cable if it dies then you have a bad alternator. If it still runs then you've eliminated the relay and the alternator. If you change the relay and it still doesn't start look at your ignition relay it could've went out
