So out of nowhere my 94 ex started overheating, we replaced the thermostat correctly, still doing it. Found out the radiator was falling apart, replaced it along with both of its hoses. Still happening. I notised a hole in the heating intake, replaced that anddd still happening. The fan turns on on its own. I have no clue what it could be. Also I'm having a problem with the car staying idol, after it gets hot like this it, in drive or park, the engine will rev over and over making the rpm rise and fall constantly, it dosent sound like it would be connected to the overheating but that's usually the only time it ever happens. What is wrong with my car???

check the IACV, regrding the surging idle. The idle surge isn't only when the engine's cold, is it? If so, could be the fast idle thermo valve (attached to the bottom of the throttle body). For the overheating, you replaced the radiator, but did you also check the radiator cap? if the cap is bad, it won't allow the system to pressurize like it should. Also, make sure you bled any air out of the coolant system when you changed the fluid. I've heard that trapped air can cause some wacky issues.
Good luck, and let us know the results
