Hi I am new to the club. My name is Oscar. I just bought a 94 honda civic si hatchback with a 95 GSR engine. Since I bough it I have installed 6000k purple HID'S one piece projector headlights, 5strut bars three rear two front and a rear camber kit. I think that the coolest upgrades that I have done so far are the HID'S that I installed but I think that the power windows and door locks are kinda cool too. I bought two door panels that came of a 95 civic ex then I bought the switches and the door wireing harness and the body harness of a 95 civic ex. I also installed the motor and window regulators. It looks cool like it came out of the factory that way. I will take some pictures and post then later. I just wanted to know how many people that have honda civic hatchbacks have done this to their car and how they did it.

Welcome man. I don't have a HB nor am I sure of exactly what you're talking about... are you turning the rear windows into power windows?

Grats on the Honda -- although I stay away from the riced-out 6000k's. But hey, its your car =)

why didnt you just put the whole ex door on your car, the 2dr coupe and hatch doors are identical, and they plug and bolt right up.

Dude you dont need to take the whole door just the wireing harnesse's for both doors and the door lock actuator and window regulator. I mean if you'd like you could take the doors of a Ex but if the existing door on you HB are in good conditon Why would you wanna do that. Makes no sence to me. Especially if the other door are different color or are in worst shape than the one you allready have. Plus what are they going to plug right into if you dont have the correct chassy harness. Since you have a cx you have a basic Wireing harness that does not include the power window and mirror and door lock wires on there. So it cant just plug up. What I did is I found a civic ex wireing harness and took all the wires that control all those things and integrated it to my existing wireing harness. That way it looked factory I did not have to solder anything cut anything and now it looks like it came out of the factory that =)

No I have converted the non power windows in my hatchback into power windows I also added power door locks all factory honda parts. If you did not know hatchback Si's only have power sunroof. So I've added these other upgrades. I did it the way it was done @ the factory not ghettofied. What do you mean the 6000k High intensity discharge light bulbs and ballats are to riced out. These are the real thing that come on BMW's Not the hyper white $25 light bulbs These cost me 300.00 A set . These are the purple& blue HID's that come on the new S2000 too. What is so riced out about that. The average civic does not have these.

Well explaint to me this. Yes you could do that but what are they going to plug into. Civic hatchbacks dont come with the ex chassy harness so you cant plug rigth into it you need a ex body harness. Takeing doors off sounds like you are working too hard. It's easier to just wire the existing doors and intergrate the ex chassy harness that control your doors. Well if you hat to take the door off and the other doors are not the same color that you would have to paint them. That makes no sence to me also what if the existing doors are in better shape than the ex doors. If you did not know. The chassy harness on the ex consist of several harnesses put together so you have to unintergrade the door control harness front the rest of the chassy harness and then intergrate it into you harness.

Explain the gaps. ( Why did some have P/W and some did not) My theory is that at the time of purchase the product was optional and some customers had them added for a pricey amount anf most did not because of the cost. But I would like to know Why some did and some did not. I guess the majority did not I will E-mail honda and find out.

I have a friend that has a 95 Si that has the same power window setup except his switches are mounted next to the e-brake it's a pretty clean job his windows work better than the factory ones...
