95 civic coupe dx trunk light

Ok so I have been looking for this everywhere now and can't find my answer anywhere so I'm asking here now...I own a 95 civic coupe dx that does not come with a trunk light and so I went and got an oem light from one that did come with it but have no idea on how to wire it...please does anyone kno of a diy so I can wire this light and light up my trunk at night...

But then how will it turn on when the turnk is opened?....I hear some people tap into the wires on the drivers side but idk if it's the same for coupes

I ran a hot lead from the front down the side under the inside door trim, etc. Then I wired an alarm switch (the kind that grounds when opened)in the trunk lip. Put a fuse on it. When the trunk opens, the switch grounds completing the circuit and Voila! lights!! I did not use an oem light but used LED's instead. Nice bright light very little amp draw.

I have one in my 92 hatch but I have not hooked up the wiring yet. I need to do that when it gets nice in good ole rainy Washington.
