well first i flooded the engine by getting water in my cold air intake. i was barely moving when the water got in and it cut off right away. got it to my house let it sit for a few days and tried to start it and nothing, wouldn't turn over. so i took the spark plugs out, vacuum a very small amount of water out of one chamber and there was no water in the other chambers but i vacuumed them anyway and started it to push out any water i may have missed. a very small amount of water came out and i vacuumed each chamber out through the spark plug holes again. i checked all the spark plugs for any kind of damage or corrosion, but they were fine, so i put them back and tried to start it. it turned over but would fire. then i took the plug out and reconnected it to the wire and put it agains metal to see if there was any spark when it was started and there was no spark. the plugs spelled like fuel so i know its getting fuel. so then i moved on to the distributer. the cap was fine and undamaged. i checked the coil and the secondary and primary resistance values were perfect. please help. the next step in the haynes manual says to check the icm, i tried but im not sure which terminals to check, the wires dont seem to be the color they are supposed to be and im 9 months pregnant and would not like to shock myself. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
