95 civic ex smog fail help

hi forum, recently bought a 95 honda civic without it being smogged (lesson learned at this point), was assured that it would pass, when i go into smog i come back and was told it failed b/c aftermarket parts, was given a sheet of paper with the EO: D-392-11 looked into it and pretty much that intake is not legal for my year? not any 95, im pretty unsure what i should do at this point i do need this for my daily driver to get to work so i really need to smog it so i can get the title in my name at least, i am worried about getting pulled over as i cant afford tickets, i live in santa rosa, ca

any help will be amazing, as far as i know my options at this point are go to pick and pull and get a stock intake and hope i pass? let me kno if i can do anything else please, i just really NEED to smog it to make this legal

also let me kno if any other info/pics will help and ill try to help also message with any questions also ,have 600$ i can spend

You are giving almost no information. Is the aftermarket air intake the only issue? Post pictures of your engine bay, and buy an air intake system for a 92-95 Civic D16Z6 engine.

ty for response, as far as i know yes its only the intake, (i think she might have mentioned the cpu might have been messed with im not sure) i took a few pics but just was unsure about my best options, would you go ahead and just buy a aem for the correct year? or play it safe and go stock ( that is saying intake is my only problem)

The breather on the valve cover needs have a hose running into the intake. So any "dirty" air gets combusted.

What ECU?

Just scout junk yards for a stock intake for the D16Z6, if that's the engine in your car.

alright thank you all for responses, i have so far gathered that i need to go get a stock one at pick n pull, then actually connect it were that tiny filter is also. witch raises another question from me, what are the percs of having that tiny filter on my engine?

It doesn't benefit much at all. Especially on a stock motor.

so even if i go back to the aftermarket part still just leave the hose attached. how come?

also , i called a shop that does a smog rethought for 190$ and will show me all i need to pass smogg i might do it this friday

well i was not trying to waste any ones time, if you are needed else were please do not respond? i dont want to take time away from any one, secondly i said "i might" not "i am going to a mechanic on friday, and just so you know, i have a life also so.... if i cant get the answers on here quick enough... what am i left with?....going to a shop a block away.. i need to start somewhere? how am i to know if any one on this forum can even help? so please just know im not trying to waste time. i had to make a account just to post this.

What do you think the purpose of a technical forum is? If you don't have the intestinal fortitude and intellectual strength to learn how to fix problems yourself, then what the heck are you doing posting in a technical forum? Do you have no consideration for other people's time? Are you really that selfish?
