96 4door tails, how do these sound

I just got a set of clear tails. Here in Idaho there not legal, so I'm gonna get some taillight spray paint and paint them half red and leave the other half clear/white. Should I paint the top or the bottom red. i thought it would look good with the bottoms half painted. Any thoughts?

Na if you use the right paint.. and a nice clear coat on them it wont fade at all.... it will look nice......as for the bottom or top... thats up to you both look nice.....

what paint is that? stained glass or model paint?? both will fade with time, unless the car never goes into the sun.

Yeah your right they might fade but they will be good for a long time... whatever paint you use.. then use a good clear coat.. like an outdoor one or whatever and it will protect them for a really long time.....

sell those and buy the half red have white 4 door taillights for your year, they sell them on ebay for about $80

I got the lights shipped for $18. I figure if i do a good job i can make them look pretty good. I'm still considering painting the top or bottom. i haven't got them yet. i need to see how big the lower part is to see if it's big enough to light up for my blinkers and brakes lights. then i also need to check to see if the bulbs will fit in the top/bottom slots.
