96-98 99-00 Civic

I have a 98 civic ex and the weird part is someone told me that the rearlights should look different. I have 99-00Ex rearlights. Should it be like that or did they change it when i bought the car?

99-00 tails are red/white
96-98 tails are red/white/amber

Be happy with what you've got! I know ALOT of people with 96-98's that would kill for my tail lights. To answer your question, yes they've been switched.
