Ok i've been thinking about doing a conversion on my car from a 6th gen I to a 6th gen II. I know it sounds crazy but i like the way the 6th gen II looks with the vents. Some may say your crazy just get a body kit but, i really want to keep it looking like a civic. Im more into the CTR or the Cmugen kits. What you guys think i should do? Its really not a problem i can sale my old parts and get new ones from the net with the money i get from the parts.

a zenki 6gen -> kouki 6gen frontend swap is not crazy. . . it's been done by some members on here... i believe u will need hood, fenders, front bumper, headlights, and radiator support.

I would go with the converion..........but you could also go with the cwest kit it looks like a little stock just a little more extreme but it still looks clean

getting it from a yard would be your best bet.......finding a 99-00 civic without front end damage that isnt already stripped will probably be the hard part

I've done the conversion, not soo hard really. Try finding a hood somewhere near you, cause the S&H to you from anywhere you can't pick up will bea b***h, i got my hood for free.... fenders you can get on ebay for about 135 shipped for a pair. If you ever buy anything on ebay, make sure it says OEM specs or something of the nature. I bought an aftermarket stock 99-00 front bumper.. didnt fit as well as i wished it did, some gaps here and there, but all in all not too noticable. the grill you can get for pretty cheap to, the headlights will be up to you. but if yer looking for the jdm look, id buy the blackhousing ones striaght off the bat, thats what i did.. except i got the ionclear black housings.. looks a little purpleish/bluish at certian angles, but w/e.. imma prolly buy a new bumper and headlights sooner or later. g/l with yer conversion! should run you about 135/fenders, 135/headlights, 40/grill, 100/front bumper, around 145/hood... just my estimate

yeah the chinese made parts are shitty, they are not straight and it is hard to fit them. So the best ist to search for OEM parts!!

i had a chinese made front bumper on my 5th gen, and it was crap, yeah ok i did cost 25 $ and it was brand new

I'm doing mine now. All I need now is the hood. I hear that the 96 hood will fit w/ gaps, so I'm just gonna keep that till I can get a cf hood. yea.. the headlight fit fine. I got some of my parts from the local shop. there's a lot of civics gettin kits... I just picked a bumper for $60 and its the rite color!

No to get the 99-00 headlights on a 96-98 you need a new hood, new fenders, new bumper, and a new radiator support. Well not necesarilly new but all that stuf has to come off of a 99-00 and willl bolt up to a 96-98
