Cupholders. I know they do nothing to hold drinks any better. That's not why i want em though. I love the huge pocket space they give you. The 96-98 ones are extremely lame to me. I already got a very clean set from Mugenkid18 on here. This weekend I tried fitting em in. Physically they fit just fine, a little tight but fine all the same. The problem is I have an aftermarket stereo and I have kept my factory radio inside my dash in order to retain my keyless entry function. The problem arises when I try to use the 99-00 cupholder. It will fit just fine if the factory radio isn't there.Obviously you'd say well just take it out but I am not willing to sacrifice it until I get a full pager remote alarm where I wouldn't need my old key fob. And that's gonna be a little while because I am POOR. So, where could I hide the factory unit and how?I tried shoving it into so many place under the console. Either the wires are too short, or the box just doesn't fit with the cup holders.
What to do? I want both.....

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Then just run the wires inside then center console. I was thinking of throwing it up underneath the steering wheel. But that'd become a liability in an accident wouldn't it. Ugh, that's a lot of wires to extend.

The guy that did mine, took out everything except the radio circuit board, frees up a lot of space.

You can do that to

as long as everything is plugged in

I usually pop the face off and put it behind the dash

I popped the face off and have the huge metal box. That's a good idea though, to just remove the circuit board from the box. That would greatly decrease the size of the thing I'm trying to stuff into the dash with about 2 inches of room to do it in. Did he wrap it in cloth or something to protect it?And where did you stuff it?

Hmm...It's soldered to the metal box by a little metal strand...I wonder if that'd be bad to break... I took it all apart too and that's the only thing left. I was thinking maybe it's a ground or something. Let me know guys. If it works I'd probably be able to stuff my 99-00 cupholders in!!!!!!!!
