96 Civic 150i looses power when a/c is on

Hi guys & gals

I've recently bought a 96 hatchie 150i. It goes well, apart from when the a/c is turned on, then it just laggs. Anything I can do or suggestions. I'm also looking to replace the 40mm springs, got a sag on the f/r and heavy wheel arch scrapping, any suggestions on good springs? Also what can I change or add to make it just a little more responsive?

No turns are fine, handles pretty well, responsive as in power

not sure what 150i is but..

its a small motor, and its not much power in the first place. when the a/c is on, it just puts even more strain on it. Not much you can do, aside from changing out the motor to a bigger one. my y7 does the same thing, so dont worry its normal

Well in South Africa you get 130, 150, 160,180 size engines, so mine is a 1500cc engine. Maybe SA was the only place to get the 150i as I see the UK and USA mainly get the 160 and VTec. Yeh it is a small engine, SOHC, 16v, but pushes out around 83kw, which I know is nothing compared to the VTecs and S2000. I just thought maybe i could change the air filter and exhaust system to try and maximize the engine capacity. Thx for your reply
