96 Civic EX turn signal not working

Hey Everyone,

I already read some previous threads about this issue, and I do understand that there is a turn signal cancel sleeve within the steering column. Could anyone direct me in the right direction as to where I could buy one of those? And for those who may ask, well are you sure its not the turn signal assembly, and that would be a no because everything works perfectly by doing it manually by hand, and the assembly is new so I know there is no issue there. Please get back to me and let me know what you guys think.

Your best bet is always a Scrap yard, If not there then Honda itself!

I mean I've been to my local scrap yards and I mean the cars are usually picked over heavily so there is nothing left. I was looking at purchasing from this website: http://www.bkhondaparts.com/parts-catalog/honda/civic-coupe/1996/ex/5-speed-manual/chassis/steering-wheel-srs

But which piece is it, cause I can't determine it? One more thing, if I were to put a custom steering wheel with a steering hub on on, would that solve this problem or would I still need that sleeve?

Have you pulled the steering wheel off and inspected the cable reel and canceling sleeve? Best to know what's wrong before you buy anything.

I have not Ron, but I was planning to do that this weekend or early of next week. I just wanted to get ideas of price before hand. I'll keep ya posted once I have taken it off and checked but I just wanted an estimated price. I'm almost sure it is the cancel sleeve but I'll double check

Okay everyone I checked and it is the sleeve. So where can i find one? should I just go to a local dealer and see if they know what part to order?
