96 civic motor problem?

So the other day I was driving up a hill and after passing the hill my car died and wouldn't start up again. I thought was the battery but then the next day I went to start the car and it started but there was a rattling noise coming from the engine or behind the engine. Everytime I hit about 2500, 3000 Rpms you could here it. Anyone know what the problem might be? Alternator maybe?

check your IACV its the little box on the back of your throttle body, and if anything replace your fuel filter, bc my integra does the samething
