How much would you pay for a Blue 96 EX Coupe, 89k miles with:

Aerogear Front Bumper, Sprint 2.5" Lowering Sport Springs, Projector Angel Eye Headlights, Acura Integra GSR "Hammer Heads" 15" Rims, Midnight Blue Paint Job, Delabled Except Honda Rear Emblem, SI Doors, New Windshield, KYB Rear Shocks, Brand New Honda Brake Pads, Jensen MP3/CD Player, Kenwood Interior Speakers, New Spark Plugs, New Spark Plug Lines

Guy is asking $6800...

btw -how much would those wheels go for if they're in good shape? I'll probably sell them if I get this car.

Thanks all

thats not bad on the price, but there's always a catch, check it out and drive it. The saying "too good to be true" always seems to come into play with cars.

I hear ya - It's been available for a while, so either nobody wants it or something's wrong with it. Definitely going to check it out in person before deciding.

Are there any common problems/issues I should keep an eye out for?

TIA

judging by the mods only, this guy probably thinks himself the next paul walker and probably beat the snot out of the car. buying a modded car is definitely playing russian roulette- how well did he take care of it, and how much did he beat it, and how much is that gonna cost you when something major breaks. not to mention you are buying someone elses custom car, not your own and your inheriting all the mistakes he made doing the mods. and most importantly, why is he selling it if he just put all that money into it? sounds like theres something major about to go wrong with it and hes trying to dump it before it does.

i'd look for civics in the classified forums from diff honda boards. check their post count, their posts, etc. figure out what's been goin on with the car... there's usually ppl that need to sell their car due to financial complications, buying a house, etc.

Yeah - I'm going to be very careful with this one, have it comp. tested and checked out by a mechanic before I'd buy it. I know it's already got some crappy mods on it, but my hope is that he only did cosmetic stuff, and didn't really touch the engine...

May have to go the DX/swap route instead...

but I know someone that went this route, and got burned. My stepbrother bought a 92'hatch..shocks, springs, rims, shortshifter-"it was homemade"-found that out when it broke.leaky altezza style tail's, custom 3'' leaky exaust, he got it for pretty cheap thought he was getting a good deal, and ended up replaceing more or less everything.

I bought my 98 black ex coupe for an even 5, with new tires, new water pump, timing belt, fresh fluids, replaced every belt and hose, new brakes. The dash bezzle was cracked so the guy I brought it from got me a brand new entire dash! If anyone needs any 96-98 black interior dash parts, let me know!.

id never in my life buy a modded car....becuase like everyone said its someones else idea of the car....not yours, and most modded cars have had the hell beat of them....and with stock civics its usually old people who drive with both feet selling them....i bought mine for 3500 from a old couple...150k+ miles and runs like it just came from factory
