96 ex coupe heater core box

So my friend and I were installing my new stereo bezel today when he noticed some duct tape on my heater core box.. So i couldn't just leave it alone, i peeled it back and it revealed a big a** hole. For some reason i couldn't even begin to imagine the previous owner took a huge chunk out of the box and then jus taped it back up.. Needless to say I can't just leave it that way, so i was wondering if any one knows if i can just buy a new box?? Did some searching on google and ebay, but the only things i saw were whole heater core assemblies. My heat works fine its just, so I don't need a new heater core, but if thats the only way I can get a new box then i guess thats what i have to do..

I would try to find one at the wrecking yard or craigslist first. You will have to remove your dash and evacuate the freon from your a/c system to replace it though.

thats what i was afraid of, its never as simple as just replacing the broken plastic piece..
