This is my first civic that I've owned an plan on upgrading the car.
5 speed 2 door D series motor
When I got the car all it had was dc headers full exhaust an short ram aem intake.
I re did the whole suspension lotek struts an springs all the way around with 1inch drop

My question is what are some mods/upgrades that you guys have done to your civics to improve the engine/ horsepower and or appearance thanks

Boost, swap to a bigger motor, or leave it stock.

The car was a steal for only 1000$ from my buddy it came with 15inch borbert rims that I powder coated in gun metal gray I thought about doing a turbo bec there is alot of engine bay room an I've noticed alot of civic parts are cheap in price! Which is awesome I thought about putting a lighter flywheel on the clutch only has 600 miles brand new

The thing about Honda's is that... if you're not modifying the ECU, you're not getting the best power.
You can spend hundreds or even thousands but if you're not properly tuning the ECU to accommodate the new parts, you're bottlenecking the potential and it won't go anywhere.

With D-series specifically, it's either turbo, or swap to another motor (B, K, H, etc; )
Putting a cam, gear, external coil, headers, etc; aren't going to give you anything worth it on the D-series, you're better off saving that money on gas.

For appearance, click the link in my signature below, I've put together a thread on 96-00 Civic modifications that should open some ideas to you.

Forced induction is the only way unless you want to dump 20 grand into a N/A motor, either nitrous turbo or supercharger. Check out the link in my sig i turboed my 96 civic hx
