ok. I've got a 96 with d16y8. I had a knockin coming from bottom end at idle and acceleration. after pulling pan rods rings looked good. I had spun rod cap bearings changed them and also changed crankshaft bearingsh. cars running much better and knock is gone. now I have a noise coming from backside of motor at 3000rpms no noise at idle. any help wouldbe appreciated. I was thinking camshaft bearing? Im new to hondas but know about most vehicles.

Thats a tough one to diagnose online, since engine noise can transfer all over the place. Can you hear it if you just snap the throttle, or only if you hold it steady at 3000?

engine noises are really hard to get help with over the internet unless its loud enough to get a sound clip or video of and even then it still isnt easy, because we all describe noises differently and think of different things when the same words are used.
