96 to 99-00 climate conversion help

so reading every writeup out here, my question is still not answered.

I dont care about the temperature, because its always on hot, i only care about the fan speed.

That being said, can i wire up the 99 harness to the 96 harness, just to get the blower kicking on? i know the 96 uses a resistor, the 99-00 blower uses a different thing.

But i just wanna use what i got, which is 99-00 climate control and 6" harness, and 96 everything else, is there any writeup on wirespliceing i can do? i read somebody did this with a relay.

anybody? i just picked up the full 99+ harness

will this plug right into my 96 blower? all i wanna do is get the FAN to kick on.....the heat is always hot.

from what everyone has said on here, its really not worth it, 96-98 to a 99-00 is a wiring nightmare, i hear nothing but shitty stories about em, any reason your doing this?

read this to understand what i am talking about, there is a lot more involved then what your probably thinkin

99/00 heater control swap into 96/98

I did that swap and it turned out really good. it took a while since somebody sold me the wrong blower motor. i got a new one and everything went in ok. as far as the wiring you need the 99/00 sub harness for the heater controls, and blower motor. I have a hatchback so there's a couple wires you have to jump but mine turned out good.

did the conversion in 1 hour, there was a post somewhere on how to do it, without getting all the 99-00 parts.

all you need is the 99-00 harness and some stuff off the 99-00 blower and heater, took 1 hour, works GREAT!!!!
