97 Civic Ex Coupe Cupholder Cubby Mod

I know how to remove the lid and expose the cubby and cupholder but what I want to know is if there's anyway that I could get rid of the cup holder entirely to make a pocket/another cubby to hold coins and other stuff?

Your main options are:
1) Keep 96-98
2) Replace with 99-00
3) CTR (or SiR perhaps) cup holder

99-00 Civic cup holder to the left 96-98 to the right.

The Ctr one is exactly what I'm looking for! I've checked on ebay and everywhere online and on ebay it goes for $100. Where can I find a cheaper one?

Well mine is a 97 coupe. Is there any cutting that I would have to do to make it fit? I would suspect that hatchbacks and coupes have the same interior design and dimensions for the center console and dash.

And sedan too, should all be the same.
Icb just states youll have to reuse the mounting brackets from your stock one.
Better off looking for one from a trueted classifieds section sell since itll be likely sold as a whole instead of inserts.
