97 E-Brake Handle

I bought an aftermarket e-brake handle and i was just curious if anyone knew how to get the factory one off?

Theres acouple screws after you take your center console off. And then disconnect the red wire.. I dont remember exactly, but yah.. Post a picture maybe

ive heard ppl say that all you have do to is twist and pull and it comes off.

Wrap it in a towel, grab a set of channel locks, turn and pull forward at the same time, you may have to turn it back and forth a few times before trying to pull it forward. If you dont care about the stock one, omit the towel.

take a utility knife to it.

^^ what he said..the 92-95s come off easy but in my old 97 i had to chop that s**t off
