97 sedan door inserts

ok so im tryin to completely change myinterior color to black and encounter a problem. my door inserts wont come out to reupholster in red suade. i dont know if theres some secrect but as of now im forked and may just paint the oems black if all else fails. i considered spraying over the oem with adheasiv and just laying the suade and tucking BUT if i put any masking tape on the virgin paint it will pull up and i cant mask around the suade becasu it wont stick.
HELP!

i dont know. they look plastic welded/ molded together. a trim tool couldnt get any movment out of it.

You can peal the cloth off from the front. Then your new ones will tuck into the groove on the edges just like that OEM fabric is

has anyone done this? I actually went to do this yesterday and I stopped when it could not come apart. I actually install aftermarket leather in at the local honda dealership. All the newer ones i work on come apart, i cant have my door panels come out like ass, my rep is on the line. So basically the correct way to do this would be to remove the stock fabric, cut the leather to the excat same shape and reinstall and tuck it in the grove... Is there anything in the grove to make sure it stays in place?
