98 civc dx spluddering

hows it going guys thank you in advance for any help you give me, i have a 98 dx that chokes when i give her a little gas also when idling she trembles heavily, shes stock and was in bad shape when i bought her i dont allow mechanics to work on her so i try and do any repairs myself. thank you once again
