Hey whats goin on. I'm new to this whole car scene, my first car was a crappy 97 Camry n after the transmisssion blew I decided to cut my loses and get a lower mileage Civic. I got my 98 Civic EX AUTO with 107000 miles on it from a new car dealership for 4800. Drove it for about a week before I started noticing problems, After about 250 miles put on the car (105 on the trip from the dealership after purchase) I brought it in and its currently having everything fixed up free of charge till I get it back Tuesday evening.

NEWAYS

Its pretty bone stock, it was owned by an older lady before I bought it, so its probably babied. First thing I wanted to do was get a Sony Pandora stereo put in, I cant stand the garbage on the normal radio anymore. But besides that, I have no idea what to do with the car. I've heard of doing fuel system cleaners, changing spark plugs, oil, etc to get it running tip top. Not to sure I'd feel comfortable doing a fuel system cleaner but what spark plugs would be good?

I also hope to upgrade the car a bit as I plan on keeping this till she hits 250,000 on the Odomtr...
I dont want a RAM intake, I heard their garbage unless your flying over 90+mph which I don't plan on doing very often. But if I could do some things to gain some hp and response without switching the intake just yet I'm all ears. Someone told me to get a tune since its over 100thou mileage. I dont mind reinforcing some of the engine components, especially if they would increase the engines durability longterm.

I know I'm gonna get alot of crap about it being Auto. But I haven't had success driving stick yet and don't think I could stand shifting every minute in heavy highway traffic situations common in NY. Any tips and constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks a bunch guys

Nothing wrong with driving automatic
<--- I drive automatic daily...although i hate it haha
But what I would do first is a tune up because you never really know what the previous owner really did. Gaskets might need changing, belts, yes spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, and fluids might need to be refilled/changed
