I know that there is a lot of idle threads here but i can't figure out my problem. I have a 98 dx hatch with the stock y7 engine. I start the car up and sometimes it just shuts off immediately. Only the motor, my battery is fine. Then when it starts working it idles from 1000 to 2000 rpms at a steady jump. when i turn on my a/c it gets worse and then will shut off while I'm driving, and won't start for about ten minutes. It is throwing codes for the iac valve, so i took it off and cleaned it, and nothing changed. I have looked for a vacuum leak and there is none, and i just did a coolant flush and that did nothing either. I can't think of what else to do, except buy a new iac valve, but i don't want to yet until i try everything.
Also, not sure if this is relevant to my problem, but when I drive and let off the gas, no matter how high or low the rpms are the car jolts. Then when I press it again it jolts again.
