99-00 climate control conversion

i have a 98 civic, and i recently got a 99-00 climate control unit, and i KNOW i saw a write up on it somewhere b4, i was wondering just how simple or difficult it is to do this swap.

the way its looking, and from what iv been told, is i have to get the wire harness from the car, which is connected to the ecu and rewire my entire car. not a fan of doin so....help!!

as you can see, there is a lot of pain in the ass waiting for you....but when it's done and working well.......you have a sweeeeeeet dash!!!

hmm, they call this the mother of all mods for 6th gen civics. good luck with it! its supposedly very difficult

This is the most expensive, time consuming, frustrating, and overall pointless mod to do to a civic.

You have to take the ENTIRE dash out. Take out the dash support beams, replace the ENTIRE heating system, rewire EVERYTHING. It's just f**king dumb.

Oh... it gets worse.....

Step one... Remove the entire dash. Sounds like fun already.

well its done, and im not sure if its worth it or not. its good to have the VAFC securely mounted, and thats about it. took me about 12 hours to do it with help. actually, it took my roomate 12 hours to do it while i sat in the garage on myspace and handing him tools and drinks when asked. lol

I"m actually thinking about doing this. My AC core needs to be replaced anyway, that would require the dash to be taken apart 8)
