99-00 Headlights

Well I put my 99/00 front end conversion on yesterday and I noticed that the side lights were really amber, but more of a white color (used my existing bulbs from the 98 front end). Is there an amber bulb that I should be using or is the clear bulb the only option?

you can use either...i have clear ones, but they came stock amber i think

yeah my friends are amber - I want to get a gold color

they prolly have a gold bulb too... they have every color you can think of ...

yeah. Nothing looks better than the color contrast of my white/blue bulb and gold.

I will post pics when I get them. Just put a standard halogen turn signal in and you get some idea of what the gold looks like.

did you have to replace the core support? or just the bumper cover?

I like the amber color the most over white and gold.

It is all direct bolt up. You do not have to remove the core support. If you want to you can buy the 99/00 radiator support but it is completely unnecessary. In extreme cases you have to shave about an eigth of an inch off of the back of the main lower grilled to get it to fit right, but that wasnt the case in my installation. I have pics of it in the gallery.


Zum: I totally agree with you about the amber over white. I will post night time pics of my headlights when i get the car painted. It lokos so much better than the amber. The problem is that my turn signal lights up to an almost white color when it flashes.
